22-year old striking sensation Lauturo Martinez who has been plying his trade in Northern Italy with Inter Milan has been given some transfer advice from Hernan Crespo.
Martinez who joined Inter Milan in the summer of 2018 from Racing Club where he scored 27 goals in 60 appearances has been a hit since moving to the San Siro and this has not gone unnoticed among Europe’s elite clubs.
Before the campaign was suspended due to the Corona virus outbreak, Martinez had hit the back of the net 19 times in 32 appearances and that put him in the radar of Premier league side Chelsea who are working on securing his services.
In an interesting twist, Argentina legend Hernan Crespo has urged him not to make the switch to Stamford Bridge, at least not yet.
The well decorated striker who had a goal laden career with over 300 goals in a career that lasted around 19 years and booted up for both Inter and Chelsea thinks it’s too early for Martinez to leave. He wants him to continue his development for now.
‘I tell him that he should stay at Inter, without a doubt,’ Crespo said. ‘The reason is simple. He did well in Argentina with Racing Avellaneda, arrived at Inter and was Mauro Icardi’s back-up in the first season, and now is a fixed starter.
‘This is his first season as a fixed starter. It’s not much to go on to decide to change his life and move to Barcelona or Chelsea.
‘He needs at least three years to complete his growth, then he can think about changing teams.’
